A couple of helpful things that I think are important to bring with you…
-Music!! Music has a powerful impact on our emotions, and it can help create a calm and soothing environment for you during labor. Make a playlist before you head to the hospital!
-A comb! This can be an amazing tool for helping to distract from the pain that contractions bring on.
-Essential Oils! Oils have a very powerful aromatic essence that can also help calm and create peace during labor. Make sure to ask your provider about which oils are safe to use during labor! If your doctor doesn’t have any suggestions, sometimes the nurses on the L&D unit will be of help!
So, there you have it! That’s all I’ve got! You’re armed with some new information that will hopefully help you feel more confident and excited about your birth.
